One of the reasons why so many people love using wordpress blogs is the fact that there are just so many free resources, such as templates (also known as plugins) & modules (also known as plugins).
There is no end of free plugins available & most of them are developed by the wordpress community & freely shared with other wordpress bloggers.
SEO Title Tag Plugin
The name of this plugin explains it all, it is for enhancing your on-page SEO factor. It automatically edits your title tags, making the name of your post appear before the name of your blog.
Maybe search engine spiders are made to be like most humans, in the sense that they read from left to right.
Headspace Plugin
This plugin adds the meta data into the blog post. Personally I am no SEO expert, I install it on my blog but I do not really bother with it. SEO title tag plugin is much more important.
Google Sitemap Plugin
This plugin allows the sitemap to be created for for Google's best practices guidelines. After you install it, you can ignore it.
Permalink Redirect Plugin
This is a very cool plugin which I discovered not long ago. It helps to do a permanent redirects. It can redirect your default rss feeds to feedburner feeds.
It can also redirect links, without "www.", to links with "www.". Without this plugin we would have to edit our .htacess file in order to get do this redirect. It is so much easier to install a wordpress plugin than to try to mess with the .htaccess file.
Why do we do this redirect? So that we can be consistently with our links. It is either with or without "www.". This helps with preventing duplicate content as search engines view them as different sites!
